1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the service.

Information you provide directly:

• Email address, if you contact us for support.
• Purchase information processed by Apple App Store or Google Play (we never see your payment card details).

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, and a random installation identifier (not tied to your Apple ID, Google account, or any personal identifier).
• Usage data: which features you use (e.g., QR connect vs. mDNS discovery, touch input on/off), session duration, and general interaction counts. This data is aggregated and never linked to an individual.
• Crash reports: stack traces and device state at the time of a crash. These do not contain personal information or any Game View content.
• Local network data: IP addresses on your local Wi-Fi network used solely to establish the peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. This data never leaves your local network and is not transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

• Providing the service: enabling the streaming connection between the Unity plugin and the companion app.
• Improving UniPeek: understanding how features are used and where crashes occur so we can prioritize fixes and improvements.
• Customer support: responding to questions, bug reports, or feedback you send us.
• License verification: confirming Pro or Lifetime purchase status through Apple or Google's receipt APIs.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Local Network & Streaming

UniPeek's core streaming technology operates entirely on your local Wi-Fi network. The Unity Editor plugin and companion app communicate peer-to-peer using WebRTC or WebSocket (as a fallback). No video, audio, or game data is routed through our servers.

The only outbound connections UniPeek makes to external servers are:

• Sending anonymous crash reports and usage analytics (see Section 4).
• Verifying in-app purchase receipts with Apple or Google servers.
• Fetching update notifications (version number only).

4. Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use lightweight, privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. All analytics events are:

• Anonymous — not linked to your name, email, or account.
• Aggregated — we see totals and percentages, not individual user journeys.
• Limited — we track feature engagement (e.g., "QR connect used") and crash metadata, not content.

You can opt out of analytics collection in the app's Settings → Privacy screen. Opting out has no impact on app functionality.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

UniPeek offers the following purchase options via Apple App Store and Google Play:

• UniPeek Pro (Monthly): a recurring subscription at $2.99/month, billed through your app store account.
• UniPeek Pro (Lifetime): a one-time, non-consumable purchase at $49.99.

All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple or Google. We receive a confirmation of purchase (a receipt) but never see your payment details, card number, or billing address.

To manage or cancel a Pro Monthly subscription, visit your device's app store subscription settings. Cancelling stops future billing; your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Third-Party Services

UniPeek interacts with the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store / TestFlight: distribution and in-app purchase processing on iOS. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play: distribution and in-app purchase processing on Android. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Unity Asset Store: distribution of the Editor plugin. Governed by Unity's Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party platforms.

7. Data Retention

Crash reports and aggregated analytics are retained for up to 12 months to inform product improvements, after which they are deleted or anonymised further.

If you contact us for support, we retain your email and correspondence for up to 3 years, after which it is deleted unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.

Purchase receipts are retained as required by applicable law and tax regulations.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: request that inaccurate data be corrected.
• Deletion: request that your data be deleted ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection: object to certain types of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 11. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

UniPeek is a developer tool intended for users aged 13 and older (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via an in-app notice. Continued use of UniPeek after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
